This summer, consider spending your hours alongside friendly co-workers greeting smiling faces, soaking in the salt air and taking in gorgeous scenery wherever you look. Each year, Recompence has a limited number of work-camping and seasonal employee positions. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. All positions open to work-camping exchange (credit towards seasonal camping rates).

Camp Store/Office Staff
Late May through mid-September
Part Time / Temporary
Looking for positive, friendly customer service staff with attention to detail and ability to multitask. Strong desire to provide excellent customer service by phone and in person. Computer proficiency and ability to learn new programs. Willingness to become familiar with the characteristics of each campsite. Knowledge of local area attractions helpful. Position includes answering questions and scheduling reservations by phone and in person, ringing sales with cash registers and maintaining product stock.
Snack Shack Staff
July & August
Part Time / Temporary
Friendly, helpful staff needed for Snack Shack operation. Positive, customer-service focus a must. Food preparation/service experience strongly preferred. Pace is very fast at times and slow at others. Equipment includes deep fryer, pizza oven and grill. Ability to operate cash register.
Outdoor Staff
May through September
Part Time / Temporary
Positive, can-do staff needed for groundskeeping and maintenance throughout farm and campground. Ability to operate mowing and weedwhacking equipment. These jobs are labor-intensive and may require raking, shoveling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Willingness to be available to assist campers as needed, providing excellent customer service. Applicants with carpentry, forestry and farm equipment/tractor experience preferred.
Midweek & Weekend Night Security
Late May through mid-September
Work-Camping Positions
Responsible, friendly person (or couple) needed to patrol campground by golf-cart after 10:00pm each evening. Willing to be on-call for (rare) camper disturbances. Sound judgement and good communication skills.
