Activities & Events
From our Farm to Table Dinner Series to our Annual Harvest Dance to our Backyard Gardener Workshop series, Wolfe’s Neck Center events are fun and memorable opportunities to enhance your camping experience while supporting our nonprofit educational farm.
Wolfe’s Neck Center is the perfect setting to explore by water or land! Rent a kayak and canoe and head on to the calm waters of Casco Bay, where you can search for harbor seal and osprey. Or enjoy the peaceful country roads and scenic vistas by bicycle.
$5 per person, 45 minutes, recommended for ages 2 and older
Bring your young farmers to the barnyard for a morning of fun! We’ll start with a quick story before our little farmers help with farm chores and explore. We’ll also meet the animals and participate in activities with rotating themes. A perfect morning playdate with friends!
Free, 30 minutes, recommended for ages 6 and under
Join us for a farm-themed story time! We’ll meet in our barn (or inside the farmhouse in the winter) to read a few stories about our different farm animals and more. Sit back and bring a snack, if you’d like!
$5 per person, 45 minutes, recommended for ages 6 and up
Join the goat herd! We’ll meet at our Wishcamper Livestock Education barn and browse the trails through the woods on a half-mile loop with a few of our curious goats. Since we are a working farm, we require parents remain with their children at all times.
Please note: There is limited capacity of eighteen (18) individuals for this program. Pre-registering is the only way to guarantee a spot.
$10 per person, recommended for ages 12 and up.
Climb aboard our hay wagon and travel through time as you hear stories of the ship captains, fishermen, farmers, teachers, and homemakers who have lived on Wolfe’s Neck over the past 250 years! Wolfe’s Neck Center is a unique saltwater farm with over a half-century of raising food and growing community. This “Wagon Ride to the Past” is a unique opportunity to learn from local historians about the history of our oceanfront farm and the surrounding countryside.
$5 per person, 60 minutes, recommended for ages 3 and up
Come and join us on the farm as we take a closer look into our dairy operations here at Wolfe’s Neck Center. We’ll tour through our new dairy facility and meet our hardworking cows and calves. This behind the scenes peek is a great chance to get up close and see how our farmers care for our animals and learn some fun cow facts to take home with you.
$5 per person, 45 minutes, recommended for ages 10 and up
Come see the farm in a whole new way! Join one of our educators for a biking or running tour through the property. We’ll stop at various points along the route to talk about our pasture-raised dairy and livestock, and learn about the history and landscapes of Wolfe’s Neck Center. Running tours are about 3 miles with a comfortable 10:30 mile pace. Biking tours are around 5 miles at a relaxed pace. Bring your own bike (bicycles are also available for rent in our campground office for an additional fee).
$20 per group (up to 4, $5 per additional participant), includes a dozen fresh eggs, 60 minutes, recommended for ages 6 and up
Hop on board our hay wagon as we head out to pasture for an up close look at our mobile chicken tractor. We’ll learn all about how we raise our laying hens here at Wolfe’s Neck Center and keep our ladies healthy and happy! You’ll even get to gather your own eggs to take with you for your next breakfast.
$5 per person, 60 minutes, all ages
Meander through the woods of Wolfe’s Neck Center with one of our educators and search for salamanders under logs, snakes basking in the sun, and signs of other wildlife that inhabit the forests bordering our barnyard. Come prepared for a hike and exploration off of the beaten trail! Closed-toed shoes are recommended.
$10 per person, 60 minutes, all ages
Come get a “taste” of the farm as you visit our organic vegetable gardens and fields! You’ll see and taste the fruits and vegetables that are in season and harvest them for a snack made with organic Stonyfield yogurt produced with milk from our cows.
