Farmer for the Morning

$5 per person, 45 minutes, recommended for ages 2 and older

Bring your young farmers to the barnyard for a morning of fun! We’ll start with a quick story before our little farmers help with farm chores and explore. We’ll also meet the animals and participate in activities with rotating themes. A perfect morning playdate with friends!

Farmyard Storytime

Free, 30 minutes, recommended for ages 6 and under

Join us for a farm-themed story time! We’ll meet in our barn (or inside the farmhouse in the winter) to read a few stories about our different farm animals and more. Sit back and bring a snack, if you’d like!

Goat Hike

$8 per person, 45 minutes, recommended for ages 6 and up

Join the goat herd! We’ll meet at our Wishcamper Livestock Education barn and browse the trails through the woods on a half-mile loop with a few of our curious goats. Since we are a working farm, we require parents remain with their children at all times.

Please note:  There is limited capacity of fifteen (15) individuals for this program. Pre-registering is the only way to guarantee a spot.

History Hay Wagon

$12 per person, recommended for ages 12 and up.

Climb aboard our hay wagon and travel through time as you hear stories of the ship captains, fishermen, farmers, teachers, and homemakers who have lived on Wolfe’s Neck over the past 250 years!  Wolfe’s Neck Center is a unique saltwater farm with over a half-century of raising food and growing community.  This “Wagon Ride to the Past” is a unique opportunity to learn from local historians about the history of our oceanfront farm and the surrounding countryside.

Afternoon Milking Viewing

Come join us on the farm and take a closer look into our dairy operations here at Wolfe’s Neck Center. Explore the public areas of our new dairy facility and meet our hardworking cows and calves, and step into our parlor viewing room between 4-5pm daily to witness a milking session. This behind the scenes peek is a great chance to get up close and see how our farmers care for our animals and learn some fun cow facts to take home with you.

Cows & Pastures Tour

Put on your boots and be prepared for a special behind the scenes visit to one of the most interesting places on the whole farm…our pastures! You will get a chance to get up close with our cows as they feed on forage and learn about how we care for these animals and our land. We’ll also focus on how our farmers rotate cows between the different pastures, and make sure our milking herd is getting the best possible grasses and feed. Recommended for adults, and older children.

Chicken or the Egg

$20 per group (up to 4, $5 per additional participant), includes a dozen fresh eggs, 60 minutes, recommended for ages 6 and up

Bring your boots as we head out to pasture for an up close look at our mobile chicken tractor. We’ll learn all about how we raise our laying hens here at Wolfe’s Neck Center and keep our ladies healthy and happy! You’ll even get to gather your own eggs to take with you for your next breakfast.

Ice Cream Sunday

$7 per person

What better thing to end your weekend than an Ice Cream Sunday! Come down to the farm and learn about one of our favorite dairy products as we work together to make our own small batch! While it’s churning, we will take a tour to learn more about the delicious ingredients that make our favorite treat..and then of course we’ll have a small taste at the end!

Hay Wagon Ride

Hop on our hay wagon for a ride through West Bay’s pastures and vegetable field! This is a great outing for families.

Salamander Meander
