COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update

Updated September 24, 2020

Wolfe’s Neck Oceanfront Camping has welcomed happy campers from all over the world for decades, and we always strive to make your stay with us a special one. Our top priority during this unprecedented time is to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our campground visitors and staff. We are diligently monitoring the situation and aligning our precautionary measures with state and federal guidelines. There are no quarantine restrictions for the following states: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts.

Guests from other states may stay with us if they: 1) Can provide a negative Covid-19 test result taken no later than 72 hours before arrival, 2) Have quarantined in Maine for at least 14 days prior to arrival, or 3) Will quarantine at their site during their stay in accordance with the Maine CDC guidelines. For more information on quarantining here, please email us at info@freeportcamping.com.

Please refer to the State of Maine Covid-19 response for details.

Here is what this means for you:

  • We are accepting reservations online and by phone. Please note we are in the office limited hours during the off-season.
  • We are accepting reservations for Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York residents, or for those who meet quarantine guidelines, through August. At this time there are no state restrictions for September & October. It will be possible to transfer reservation dates if the need arises.
  • We offer a full deposit refund on all campsite cancellations made 14 days prior to arrival (30 days for cabins). A $20 service fee will be assessed for any changes/cancellations.

Now more than ever we are seeing the positive effect that being outdoors and having access to nature can have on our well-being. Despite getting a later start to our season, we hope this encourages you to see camping as a healing and restorative activity when it becomes available.

We recognize that this is a dynamic situation that evolves every day. We will continue to monitor and take guidance from state and federal professionals, and will continue to inform our campers with updates as they arise.

Thank you for taking care of your health and the health of our community. Together we will get through this, and we can look forward to a wonderful 2020 camping season.

Never miss what's going on.
